About MeWelcome to my journalism portfolio! On this website you will find all of my work as journalism major at UNC Chapel Hill.
When I was a freshman in high school, I had no grasp on the effect journalism would have on my life. I signed up for what I thought would be "just another elective course," but journalism has grown into my passion. Since 2018, I have followed my passion of sharing people's stories and along the way I have mentored many students, run a staff, grown as a writer and formed lasting connections.
In high school, I was honored to win Third Place in the Virginia Journalist of the Year Competition. To browse through my high school work, you can find my portfolio here. Since being at Chapel Hill, I have held numerous positions including writing for The Daily Tar Heel, spending a month improving my journalism skills in Italy and most recently, reporting at the 2024 Paris Olympics. I am incredibly thankful for the professors, mentors and classmates who have pushed me to improve my skillset and dig deep into journalism. |
